The Wunda Chair is a box with a padded seat, a foot pedal, and has 2 to 4 springs attached for a variety of resistance. Pilates developed over 50 exercises for his Chair. You can sit, stand, kneel, or lie on this multipurpose apparatus, developing upper body strength, stabilizing the torso and performing a number of lower body and feet exercises
WUNDA CHAIR: Backward Arms

Rounded shoulders are one of the most often seen postural deviations. The shoulders are pulled in toward the sternum by over tight chest muscles which then cause a stretch weakness in the postural muscles of the upper back. This example of muscle imbalance makes it impossible for the golfer to hold the shoulders back and down. Instead the shoulders slouch (ouch!) forward causing the upper back to round forward and the golfer loses the natural spinal curvatures and is off to a poor start. The exercise Backward Arms, opens the tight chest muscles, and strengthens the weak back and arms muscles. The instructor cues the client to keep his/her shoulder blades back and down as the arms move up and down.
