One
must concentrate on the correct movements EACH TIME YOU EXERCISE,
lest you do them improperly and thus lose all the vital benefits
of their value.
"Correctly executed and mastered to the point of subconscious reaction,
these
exercises will reflect grace and balance in your routine activities.”
Joseph H. Pilates, 1945
“ Return to Life Through Contrology,”
The ability to learn and implement a golf skill is directly dependent upon your
physical
ability to apply the technique. |
|
It
is the quality of your movements that count, not the
quantity. To play good golf throughout all 18 holes
requires consistency. Performing conditioning exercises
with precision and fluidity (no jerking, tugging, throwing,
or thrusting to accomplish a movement) so that the
last repetition looks as good as the first , unites
the mind and body to move more bio mechanically correct.
The groove along the nero-muscular pathway is deepened
with each precise movement repeated correctly. Precision
and fluidity during the exercise session can only equate
to more precision and fluidity on the golf course!
The same holds true while practicing on the driving range. If
you continue to practice with the wrong form, you cannot improve
your swing.

"A few well-designed movements,
properly performed in a balanced sequence, are worth hours
of doing sloppy calisthenics or forced contortions." --Joseph
